Medinilla magnifica

Medinilla magnifica is a tropical shrub that bears drooping clusters of rosy pink flowers, giving it a common name of Rose Grape. It is one of the most elegant flowering plant that we can grow indoors. Thick, glossy leaves cover the upright stems. In spring, we can expect long, pendulous flower stalks to grow from the tips of branches. In the Philippines, the plant grows in the forks of large trees. It is an epiphyte, which is a plant that grows on other trees, but does not withdraw its food from those trees as parasites do.
